environmental policy
The Tyndale Flooring Group is committed to supporting and improving the quality of the environment wherever possible. This commitment is reflected in our policies and management systems which see us lead our industry in terms of our EMS which is accredited to ISO 14001:2004 and our group wide certification as a Controlled Waste carrier.
We seek to make the most effective and efficient use of all resources and encourage our employees to develop an ecologically sound approach to their work and lifestyle.

We actively promote manufacturers who develop more sustainable manufacturing methods, and products made using more recyclable or actually recycled materials.
making a difference by...
- being the first in our industry with an Environmental Management System accredited to ISO 14001:2004
- being the first in our industry to be licensed by the Environmental Agency as a Controlled Waste Carrier - our Waste Transfer license is here.

- liaising with key industrial bodies such as the GuT and Building Research Establishment to ensure that we are up to date with the legislative trends throughout Europe and the World
- purchasing materials and adhesives from World Class suppliers with committed environmental conscience and ideals whenever possible or feasible
- actively seeking to use only environmentally friendly biodegradable and nontoxic products - no products containing CFC’s will be used by Tyndale

- re-using or recycling materials, identifying markets for their re-use, or returning them to the manufacturers for recycling. By the end of September 2008 we had recycled over 3,000m2 of vinyl from the Queen Elizabeth New Hospital project in Birmingham via our relationship with Tarkett Marley.
Similar initiatives are running at the Royal London and Barts Hospital projects.
- working actively with Freudenburg to recycle rubber flooring products.
- working with the CFA on initiatives to recycle carpet tiles into road surfaces
- using packaging that is recyclable or biodegradable
- seeking to develop non-paper based methods of communication and recycling all waste paper used in the administration offices of the Tyndale Group.
- ongoing training of our employees to have awareness and commitment to our environmental policy
