We were privileged to work with the Guy & St Thomas's Health Trusts commissioned Artist and the Architectural Team at Hopkins Architects to develop, not only a stimulating, dynamic and cost effective flooring solution but a very durable, sustainable, environmentally friendly one too.
Obviously all the normal criteria for a busy hospital had to be adhered to, including ease of cleaning and long term maintenance, together with anti-microbial characteristics to ensure no bacteria were harboured on the floor, within the seams or at wall/floor junctions.

Evelina Children’s Hospital secures the “Peoples Choice” vote
Congratulations to Richard Rogers and his team who won the Stirling Prize!

Design work took a long time to evolve - from the artists vision and initial concept, through to the manufacturing of the rubber flooring (including all the small cut out pieces to be laid), over 6 years transpired.
Environmental/sustainability issues were critical, therefore Freudenberg rubber flooring was selected.
Numerous colour options were available to choose from, favourable life cycle costings, together with the ability to recycle the product at the end of its' useful life also ensured rubber as the perfect choice.
The Tyndale Group were honoured to have contributed to such a prestigious and successful project.
