HEALTH AND SAFETY ARE OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE TO TYNDALE
- We are accredited to the industry respected CHAS, BuildingConfidence (Level 5) and SafeContractor assessment schemes, which give main contractors the confidence that the Group is compliant with all key aspects of health and safety law. Copies of our certificates can be downloaded from below:

- Recent awards for our contribution to good Health & Safety performance include the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence award to Balfour Beatty Construction for the Birmingham New Hospitals Project.
The largest project undertaken by Tyndale at the time, we received an individual Contractors Safety Award for August 2009 and an
overall award for our contribution to Balfour Beatty’s “Zero Harm” initiative in May 2010 - click here

- Our Project Managers have responsibility for health and safety on site and have all successfully completed the SMSTS 5 day training course - one of the most highly regarded courses within
the construction industry.
- Our Site Supervisors have all successfully completed the SSSTS 2 day training course.
- Our continual improvement activity of site safety practices include:
- improvements in the types of knives
- pre-cutting of flooring where possible
- use of lower hazard materials and low volatile glues and adhesives

- The Tyndale Group employ their own qualified PAT testing engineer and own state-of-the-art testing equipment. This investment helps us to keep optimal control over portable equipment used by our fitting teams on site on major projects.

All floor layers used on our projects have appropriate
CSCS cards indicating their own health and safety awareness and fitting skills.

To enhance and more formally indicate their true floor laying skills, all our subcontract Fitters are included on an approved NVQ Level 2 qualification scheme - a joint venture between the Tyndale Group and FloorTrain, the leading National flooring industry training and assessment provider.
